NJCAA TROPHIES AND SPECIAL AWARDS:
 
Official NJCAA Trophies are awarded to the teams who place 1st, 2nd, and (2) 3rds. Provided by US Bank of Grand Junction.
 
Team participation plaques presented to each of the other six- (6) teams. Provided by Grand Junction Lions Club.
 
Special 2007 NJCAA Baseball Tournament "Shoulder Patches" and participation certificates for each team member will be included in the respective team (coaches) packets which are available at Tournament Headquarters. Gene Taylors Sporting Goods of Grand Junction provides (Shoulder Patches).
 
 
 
The following special awards will be presented immediately after the Championship game.
 
CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM                                     Gold medals presented to each Player on the Championship team courtesy of City Market.
 
RUNNER-UP TEAM                                           Silver Medals presented to each player on Runner-up Team. Courtesy of Rotary Club.
Sam’s Club/ PEAK performance
ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM                                 Individual trophies are presented to players selected. Ballots cast by Tourney Directors, NJCAA Baseball Committee members present, Press/Radio/TV reporters and broadcasters, Official Scorer, and Major League Scouts in attendance choose team. Trophies are courtesy of PEAK Performance Products Co.
 
MOST VALUABLE PLAYER                               Preston Walker Memorial Award. Given by Grand Junction Daily Sentinel.
 
LEADING HITTER AWARD                                 Rawlings "Big Stick" Award. Awarded on the basis of Official Scorer's Record. (Minimum of 15 Official at bats) Given by Rawlings Sporting Goods Company.
 
BEST DEFENSIVE PLAYER                              Jay Tolman Memorial Award. Selected by Radio Broadcasters who see every game. Trophy is provided by the Grand Junction Kiwanis.
 
OUTSTANDING PITCHER                                   Robert Purkey Jr. Memorial Award. Provided by Grand Junction Hosts.
 
HOMA THOMAS                                                Special trophy presented to the individual player, coach, or team who best exemplifies sportsmanship. Courtesy KEKB FM Radio
 
WINNING COACH AWARD                                One coaches professional computer brief case. Presented by Rawlings Sporting Goods Co.
 
NOTE: Any awards won by players of teams who have been eliminated from the Tournament and cannot stay in Grand Junction for completion of the Tournament will be mailed promptly to the teams' respective coaches.
