The defending national champions are making their fifth appearance in Grand Junction. The Chipola Indians (43-16) battled weather and a host of top teams to earn the berth to Grand Junction. The Indians beat Santa Fe (12
th) and State College of Florida (9
th) and shutout Hillsboro (5-0) in the state and district championship game.
Max Guzman, member of the world series all-tournament team last year, leads the Indians in hitting, bating .419.
