#ROADTOGRANDJUNCTION:
The defending national champions are making their fifth appearance in Grand Junction.  The Chipola Indians (43-16) battled weather and a host of top teams to earn the berth to Grand Junction.  The Indians beat Santa Fe (12^th) and State College of Florida (9^th) and shutout Hillsboro (5-0) in the state and district championship game.
 
Max Guzman, member of the world series all-tournament team last year, leads the Indians in hitting, bating .419.  He leads the team in home runs with 14, runs batted in with 64, and slugging percentage with .738.  Edmond Americaan is also hitting over .400, hitting at a .415 clip.  He has started every game and picked up 14 stolen bases on the season.  That number leads the team.  As a club, Chipola hits .309 with 58 home runs.
