The Middle Georgia Warriors celebrated their third National Junior College Baseball Tournament title in four years by defeating the Seminole (OK) Trojans 11-7. Middle Georgia came back to win the JUCO title after losing to Seminole earlier in the tournament. Homers by Alex Diaz and Kal Daniels and a fine relief pitching effort by Bo Taylor paced the Warriors.

MVP

Left fielder Kal Daniels of Middle Georgia and teammate Scott Skripko shared MVP honors in 1982. Skripko was selected the most valuable team player. The 6-1 sophomore from Hampton, NJ hit .448 while Daniels hit .476 with three home runs and 17 RBI’s while going two-for-three, including three RBI’s and a two-run homer in the championship game.
